1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using SSI Usage Tracker ("the Service"), available at easyssi.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you must not access or use the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and SSI Usage Tracker ("we," "us," or "our"). We may update these Terms from time to time by posting the revised version on our website. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
2. Description of Service
SSI Usage Tracker is a web-based application that provides tools for tracking and managing Supplemental Security Income (SSI) funds. The Service allows users to record SSI payments received, log expenses, categorize transactions, allocate shared household costs among multiple recipients, generate spending reports, and export financial records. The Service is designed as a record-keeping and budgeting tool to help representative payees and SSI recipients maintain transparent financial records.
SSI Usage Tracker is not a financial institution, bank, payment processor, or government agency. We do not handle, process, or have access to your actual SSI payments, bank accounts, or financial instruments. All financial data in the application is entered by you and is used solely for your personal record-keeping purposes.
3. Account Registration and Security
To use SSI Usage Tracker, you must create an account by providing a valid email address and creating a password. You must verify your email address before you can access the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account. You may not create an account using someone else's identity or provide false information. You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are being used fraudulently.
We strongly recommend enabling multi-factor authentication (MFA) on your account for added security. We offer MFA via authenticator apps (TOTP), email verification codes, and SMS verification codes. While we implement industry-standard security measures to protect your account, you are ultimately responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and ensuring that your account is not accessed by unauthorized individuals.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use SSI Usage Tracker only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any local, state, national, or international law
Use the Service to commit fraud, including entering false or misleading financial data for deceptive purposes
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts, our servers, or any part of the Service infrastructure
Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service, including through the use of malware, bots, or automated scripts
Transmit any viruses, worms, defects, Trojan horses, or other items of a destructive nature through the Service
Use the Service to store or transmit content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable
Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service or attempt to derive the source code
Create multiple accounts for the purpose of abusing the Service or circumventing account restrictions
5. User Data and Content
You retain ownership of all data and content you enter into SSI Usage Tracker, including transaction records, recipient information, and any notes or descriptions. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We do not claim ownership of your data and will not use it for any purpose other than operating and improving the Service.
You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the data you enter into the Service. SSI Usage Tracker is a record-keeping tool and does not verify, validate, or guarantee the accuracy of any financial information you provide. You should regularly review your records and ensure they are accurate. We recommend regularly exporting your data using the CSV export feature to maintain personal backups of your financial records.
6. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content (excluding content provided by users), features, and functionality are owned by SSI Usage Tracker and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. The SSI Usage Tracker name, logo, and all related names, logos, product and service names, designs, and slogans are our trademarks. You may not use these marks without our prior written permission. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use any of our trademarks, logos, domain names, or other brand features.
7. Third-Party Services and Advertisements
SSI Usage Tracker displays advertisements provided by Google AdSense to support our free service. These advertisements may use cookies and tracking technologies to deliver relevant ads. Your interaction with third-party advertisements is governed by the respective third party's terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party advertiser.
The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by SSI Usage Tracker. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services. You acknowledge and agree that we shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with the use of any such third-party content, goods, or services.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR COURSE OF PERFORMANCE. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL FUNCTION UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.
SSI Usage Tracker is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Social Security Administration (SSA) or any government agency. The Service does not provide legal, financial, tax, or accounting advice. The information provided through the Service is for informational and record-keeping purposes only. You should consult qualified professionals for advice regarding your SSI benefits, representative payee responsibilities, or tax obligations.
We do not guarantee the accuracy of any calculations, reports, or summaries generated by the Service. While we strive to ensure the reliability of our calculations, you are responsible for verifying the accuracy of your financial records. We strongly recommend that you maintain independent records and regularly compare them with the data in SSI Usage Tracker.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL SSI USAGE TRACKER, ITS CREATORS, DEVELOPERS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM (A) YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE THE SERVICE; (B) ANY CONDUCT OR CONTENT OF ANY THIRD PARTY ON THE SERVICE; (C) ANY CONTENT OBTAINED FROM THE SERVICE; AND (D) UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS, USE, OR ALTERATION OF YOUR TRANSMISSIONS OR CONTENT, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, WHETHER OR NOT WE HAVE BEEN INFORMED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGE.
IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRIOR TO THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE LIABILITY, OR ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100), WHICHEVER IS LESS. SINCE THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE, THIS EFFECTIVELY LIMITS OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO $0.
10. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless SSI Usage Tracker, its creators, developers, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt and expenses (including attorney's fees) arising from: (a) your use of and access to the Service; (b) your violation of any term of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party right, including any privacy or intellectual property right; or (d) any claim that your use of the Service caused damage to a third party.
11. Service Availability and Modifications
We reserve the right to withdraw or modify the Service, and any content or features we provide, in our sole discretion without notice. We will not be liable if, for any reason, all or any part of the Service is unavailable at any time or for any period. From time to time, we may restrict access to some parts of the Service, or the entire Service, to users.
We may update, change, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time. While we strive to provide reliable and continuous service, planned maintenance, updates, and unforeseen circumstances may result in temporary service interruptions. We recommend regularly exporting your data to maintain personal backups in case of service disruptions.
12. Account Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach these Terms. We encourage you to export your data before requesting account termination, as your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days of account closure.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in effect.
14. Dispute Resolution
Any dispute arising from or relating to the subject matter of these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through informal negotiation. If the dispute cannot be resolved through informal negotiation within thirty (30) days, either party may pursue resolution through binding arbitration or small claims court. You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action.
15. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion. By continuing to access or use our Service after any revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Terms.
